Alex Israel - Design Assistant
For a short time, I was chosen by legendary LA based multimedia artist Alex Israel to help him curate and design some pieces that were debuting within the next year or two. I was able to work one-on-one with him on some of his 2022-2024 projects - crafting what would be some of his most iconic and influential pieces of the last few years. Due to NDA’s, I can only show a few of the many projects we worked on.

Wave Paintings
Israel’s work derives from what makes him who he is and where he’s from and he expresses it in ways in which are self reflective and open to many interpretations. In his famous Wave Paintings series, each iteration and colorful gradient is a progressive evolution of those ideas.
I was lucky enough to be able to craft at least 100 gradients and color ways, and learn what they mean to Alex and myself individually. These wave paintings have been featured worldwide in museums and galleries such as the Guggenheim, Greene Naftali, Gagosian, Bass Museum of Art, and more.
Taz Mural at Warner Bros Studios
Another fun project I can showcase is the Taz mural we created for the Warner Bros Lot in Burbank, CA. His idea was to showcase his favorite Looney Tunes character lurking around and causing mischief in the backlot. He had me sift through hundreds of photos of Taz in different poses and then hundreds of personal photos he took over the years wondering the Warner lot to find THE perfect fit.
Louis Vuitton Fragrance Work
LV and Israel started a partnership years prior to my employment and had these fragrance product ideas already discussed and ready to execute so by the time I arrived, all there was left for me to do was to help choose gradients. He had this idea to base the colors off the beauty and vibrancy of famous Los Angeles areas such as the Palm Springs, Hollywood, Downtown LA, and Malibu. A few years later, the BLVD collection was released to the public.
